Yokamerat briefly in English
Oulun Ylioppilaskamerat ry is an association, whose main aim is to bring together people interested in photography, among students studying at the Oulu University. We offer our members several different kinds of experiences and events in the field of this wonderful hobby – such as; courses, field trips, photo gatherings, contests etc.
In order to join our activities, you do not need a camera of your own, just an interest towards photography is more than enough!
What do we offer?
Courses -We offer a wide selection of different kinds of photography courses from the very basics to more challenging ones. The course descriptions and timetables can be found in the calendar.
Photo gatherings – Bring your photos (in any form), discuss about them with others, share your views and knowledge or just come and enjoy others photos!
Trips and other events – We organize photography field trips and events every now and then. Join our Facebook group and keep posted about future courses, events and happenings!
Darkrooms- What could be more exciting than developing a photograph from the very start to the end just by you! Join our darkroom courses and darkroom evening hangouts. Yokamerat has two darkrooms in Oulu, one in Välkkylä and the other in Linnanmaa. We rent!
Interested in studio lighting? Oulun Ylioppilaskamerat ry rents out a package of Elinchrom studio equipment for its members. Renting the studio light set requires a participation in the studio light usage -course.
Rent for members: 15e/ 7 days, 10e / 3 days, non-members: 25e/ 7 days, 20e/ 3 days.

Message: Membership fee *year*, (+ key fee), first name last name
Summa: 10€ without the key, 30€ if you want to have a darkroom key.
If you want a key, please make sure there are keys available by sending a message to pimiot@yokamerat.org!
3) All set! Your application will be processed in our next meeting. We aim to have meetings once a month. When your application is accepted, we’ll let you know! If for some reason we can’t accept the application, we’ll let you know and return the membership fee.
